Presentation Description: Bidirectional Full SiC converters are becoming popular in EV-charging applications. Baseless SiC Power Modules are the most suitable devices for this application. However, their power cycling capability is a well-known criticality for long term reliability and suppliers are now releasing improved power modules. Available lifetime estimation equations have been verified with dedicated power cycle tests, and reliability analysis and lifetest results of newer generation of baseless SiC power modules are presented.
