To meet the increasing demand for bidirectional operation of the Auxiliary Power Modules (APMs) in electric vehicles (EVs), this work proposes a novel switch modulation method for the reverse mode phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) converter. Phase delay control of leading leg switches through an additional feedback loop reduces the voltage overshoot on the current-fed side switches. Moreover, through the small signal model and relative gain array (RGA) analysis, it is verified that control loops have low cross-coupling. Therefore, a decentralized control structure is applicable to the proposed method. The proposed method is validated through a 500 W PSFB prototype converter.
