This digest discusses the development of a multi-UAV charging station that enables free landing by using a grid-pattern transmitter with double power line. This kind of platform is essential for achieving true automation. The proposed system features two key innovations: a grid-pattern transmitter and a double power line, which together allow for improving efficiency with multiple receivers. Both simulation and experimental results, demonstrating that the system achieves a 14.2% efficiency with a single receiver, and 11.8% and 11.2% efficiencies with two receivers, respectively. And the overall system efficiency is 23.0%. These results demonstrate any point on the transmitter can deliver similar power to the receiver, even with multiple receivers, providing an easy-to-land charging zone for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles. Future work will focus on improving excitation methods and providing a detailed explanation of magnetic field calculations for mutual inductance. Also, suggesting that further experiments with additional receivers are necessary with the optimized system.
