This paper presents an improved PWM with a new look-up table to suppress motor overvoltage caused by voltage reflection. A PWM method adjusts a duty cycle to suppress the double pulsing effect using the oscillation frequency of motor overvoltage. The proposed method generates a new reference voltage using the new look-up table to suppress overvoltage that occurs even with adjusting the duty cycle. A flowchart of the proposed method is presented, considering its application to the controller. The validity of the proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments. Additional experimental results and deep analysis under various conditions will be added in the final paper.
