Maurizio Incurvati (PhD, Member IEEE) is System Architect Motor Drives Innovation at Infineon Technologies. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis on power converters for particle accelerators. Prior to joining Infineon Technologies, he worked for research institutions and industry developing power converters and control for high-end applications. He later moved to renewables developing modular inverters for wind turbines. In 2017, he joined the Department of Mechatronics at the MCI University of Applied Sciences, serving as a Lecturer in power electronics, motor drives and sensors. His present R&D activities concern design, simulation and optimization of VSI and CSI for GaN based motor drives.
