Jaeil Baek received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from KAIST in 2018. From 2019 to 2022, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. From 2022 to 2024, he was a Staff Power Integrity Engineer with the ATTD Power Delivery Core Competency team at Intel. Since 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST.
His research interests include developing sophisticated power electronics for emerging and future applications through innovation from architecture, circuits, magnetics, advanced packaging, and power delivery. Dr. Baek received an Outstanding Young Scientist Grant from NRF of Korea in 2025, the First Place Prize Paper Award of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics in 2022, the First Place Award of IEEE ECCE Best Demonstration in 2021, and an Open Compute Project Best Paper Award in 2021.
