Ruqi Li (M’92) received the B.S. degree from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China and the M.S. as well as Ph.D. degrees from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon in 1982, 1988 and 1991, respectively all in Electrical Engineering.
He worked at the University of California, Berkeley, Exponent Inc. and Artesyn Technologies as a Postdoc Researcher, Electrical Consulting Engineer and Senior Design Engineer from 1991 to 2000. He is now with the Common Hardware Engineering Group at Cisco Systems, Inc., San Jose, CA, designing and developing DC power systems for Cisco’s networking products. His professional interest includes Power Systems, Adjustable Speed Motor Drives and in recent years Static Power Conversion.
