Ripun Phukan (Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from SRM University, Kattankulathur, India, in 2013, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2016, and the Doctoral degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2023. From 2013 to 2014, he joined as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Technology, India. From 2016 to 2018, he joined Rockwell Automation, Milwaukee, WI, USA, as an Electrical Engineer. He is currently working at Delta Electronics (Americas), Fremont, CA, USA, as a Research and Development Staff Engineer. His research interests include high-power density wide-bandgap semiconductor-based power conversion,
low-voltage applications, magnetic integration, electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility, soft switching, and multilevel power converters.
Dr. Phukan was a recipient of the IEEE PELS P3 Ph.D. Thesis Talk Award in 2023, the iPCC-ECCE-2022 First Prize Paper Award, and the Best Presentation Award at APEC 2021.
