Qi Cheng received the BE degree in Micro-electronics from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2015. He received MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Management Science from The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), Richardson, TX, USA in 2017 and 2022, respectively. Since Fall 2017, he has served as a research assistant in the Integrated Power Laboratory within the Department of Electrical Engineering at UTD. His research interests include analog and power management integrated circuits, high-voltage high-frequency dc-dc converters, and LED drivers for automotive and industrial applications. Qi has published 3 IEEE journal papers and 10 IEEE conference papers in the area of analog and power IC design.
In fall 2019, he worked as an analog design intern at Kilby Labs, Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, TX, USA, where he focused on the design of active electromagnetic interference filters. Since the fall of 2022, he transitioned to the part-time PhD program at UTD and started to work as a full-time analog design designer at Texas Instruments Inc., Santa Clara, CA, USA.
