Giovanni Bonanno (Member, IEEE) received an M.S. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, in 2017. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Research Fellow with the University of Padua for the project: “Study and development of current control techniques in multilevel dc-dc converters for automotive applications”. Before starting his PhD research, he worked as a mixed-signal design engineer at Infineon Technologies AG. He discussed his Ph.D. defense in March 2022. The Ph.D. project was centered on the application and the generalized closed-loop stability analysis of the digital control for multilevel flying-capacitor converters. From 2021 to 2023, he was a Postdoc Research Fellow with the University of Padua at the Department of Management and Engineering with the project “Advanced Control Techniques for Bidirectional Power Converters in Renewable Energy Systems”. He is currently working as a Research Fellow with the University of Padua where he is responsible for teaching the digital circuit theory course. His research interests include the analysis and design of power converters and digital controls, voltage-regulation modules for CPU/GPU, and High-efficiency GaN converters for automotive applications.
