Misha Kumar received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Power-Electrical Engineering from IP University, Delhi, India in 2009 and M.S.E.E degree from North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, NC, USA in 2011.
During her graduate studies, she worked as research assistant at FREEDM system center, NCSU, Raleigh. Since August 2011, she has been a Member of R&D Staff at Milan M. Jovanovic Power Electronics Laboratory (MPEL), Delta Electronics (Americas), Research Triangle Park, NC. In June 2020, she was elevated to the grade of IEEE senior member. Since, April 2024, she is leading R&D team focussing on datacenter and server power supplies for AI applications at MPEL. Her current research interests include analysis, design, and implementation of power converters such as bidirectional dc-dc converters for on-board chargers and auxiliary power modules in electric vehicle (EV) applications, single-phase and three-phase PFC for telecom and server applications, single-stage ac-dc converters for EV charging station applications, and gradient power supply for MRI application.
