Cheng Zhang (S’13–M’16) is currently a Lecturer in Power Electronics at the University of Manchester, the United Kingdom. He received the BEng degree (first-class Hons.) in electronic and communication engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2012 and the PhD degree in electronic and electrical engineering from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2016.
From 2016 to 2017, he was a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Hong Kong. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Research Laboratory of Electronics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, the USA from 2017 to 2018. His research interests include design and optimisation automation in power electronics, high-frequency ac–dc power conversions and designs and optimizations for wireless power transfer applications.
