Arthur Mendes received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG), Brazil, in 2013 and his M.S. degree from Virginia Tech in 2024. From 2011 to 2020, he worked at GE Power Conversion, focusing on medium-voltage motor drives and utility-scale inverters for solar and wind energy. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree at Virginia Tech's Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES). His research interests include high-power electronics, multilevel converters, grid-connected converters, motor drives, and renewable energy.
