Mr. Xinliang Yang is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES), Virginia Tech, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Power Electronics. He holds a Master's degree in Green Transportation from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University. Mr. Yang has extensive experience in the energy and renewables sector, having served as an Analyst Intern on Electricals and Renewables at Soochow Securities Co., Ltd., a Power Research Intern focusing on energy efficiency and distribution networks at the Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and a Wind Power Dispatching Intern at Huaneng Renewables Corp Ltd. His current research interests include electromagnetic transient simulation acceleration, model predictive control, impedance-based modeling, and data-driven solutions for power electronics.
