Aakash Kamalapur received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka, India in 2016 and the M.S. degree from the Colorado Power Electronics Center (CoPEC), University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, USA in 2022 and since then he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES), Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. Before starting his graduate degree, he worked at Autodata Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai, India from 2016 to 2020 as a Product Development Engineer, focusing on digital-control solutions for power processors used in air quality control, electroplating, cathodic electro-deposition (CED), and power quality improvement. His current research interests include design, modeling, and digital control of high step-down, multi-cell soft-switching converters for medium-voltage (MV) to low-voltage (LV) power processors.
