Necmi Altin received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degreesfrom Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, 2003, and 2009, respectively. He joined to the Department ofElectrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty ofTechnology, Gazi University as an Assistant Professor and he was promoted to Associate Professor and Full-Professor position in 2014 and 2020, respectively. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar with theUniversity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI, USA and from 2018 to 2019, he was a Research Associate with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI,USA. Since 2023, he has been research professor at University of South Carolina. He has four book chapters and two patents. He has also authored or co-authored more than 100 journal and conference papers in his areas of interests, which include power electronics, grid interactive inverters, solid-state transformers, medium voltage power converters and resonant converters. Dr. Altin is currently an AssociateEditor for the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applicationsfor Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conversion SystemsCommittee.
