Elizabeth Sowers (she/her/hers)

Air Force Research Laboratory

Elizabeth Sowers is a Research Chemist at the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Sensors Directorate. Her current research interests include lateral and vertical beta-gallium oxide (BGO) power devices, gallium nitride (GaN) MMIC, and scaled gate GaN devices for RF electronics. She completed her MS in Chemistry from the University of Dayton in 2023 and became a research scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory later that year. Her thesis involved inventing a new way to etch BGO using green chemistry and microwave irradiation.
