Jiale Zhou (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Anhui University of Technology, Ma’anshan, China, in 2014, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao, China, in 2018. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Renewable Energy and Power Electronics Advanced Research Laboratory (RE-PEARL) and the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC), University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, USA.
He worked as a DSP control engineer at Hopewind Electric Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China, in 2018, and later at GoodWe Power Supply Technology Co., Ltd., Suzhou, China, in 2020. He was a Power Electronics Intern with the ABB U.S. Corporate Research Center, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2024. His current research interests include solid-state circuit breaker application, multilevel converter modulation, and renewable energy storage converter control.
