Syed Imam Hasan is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at The University of Akron, specializing in power electronics, electric machine drives, and battery management systems. With over four years of hands-on experience, he has a strong background in high-power Si/SiC/GaN-based power converter design, multilayer PCB design, and loop inductance optimization. His expertise includes scripting in MATLAB/Simulink, DSP and MCU configuration, and implementing control strategies for energy storage and power conversion systems. Syed has collaborated with industry partners such as NREL and Nexteer Automotive, contributing to research in battery thermal management and GaN-based inverter design.
