DONG-CHOON LEE received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1985, 1987, and 1993, respectively.
He has been a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Korea, since 1994.
He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Power Electronics of KIPE (the Korean Institute of Power Electronics), from January 2015 to December 2017. He also served as the General Chair of ICPE 2023-ECCE Asia held in Jeju, Korea. Presently, he is serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and the IEEE PELS Chapter Chair in Taegu Section. His current research interests include power converter design and control, renewable energy and its grid connection, and AC machine drives.
