Lauryn (Ryn) Morris earned her bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power and energy from Missouri University of Science and Technology in December 2023. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree under the guidance of Dr. Jonathan Kimball in the Power Electronics Lab. During her undergraduate studies, Lauryn served as an undergraduate research assistant in both the Microwave Sensing Lab under Dr. Kristen Donnell and the Power Electronics Lab under Dr. Jonathan Kimball. She is an active member of the Gamma Theta Chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu where she has held positions such as Pledge Chair, Vice President and currently serves on the Graduate Student Subcommittee.
For her master’s degree thesis, Lauryn is focusing on exploring control strategies for the DC-AC-AC triple active bridge converter, with an expected graduation in June 2025. Lauryn has completed four internships at General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. She will be returning to General Motors full time in July 2025.
