Mehdi Farasat received his PhD from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014 and joined the Division of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University (LSU) as an assistant professor in the same year. Currently, he is the Entergy Louisiana Associate Professor of Power Engineering at LSU, where he conducts research on modeling and control of power electronic converters in renewable energy and electrified transportation systems. He is the Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and serves on the Technical Committees of the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference & Expo (APEC) and IEEE Energy Conversion Congress & Expo (ECCE).
