Manish Niraula (MS’18) has master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduated in May 2018. Mr. Niraula is currently a Sr. Power Electronics Controls Engineer at Rivian Automotives LLC. Before Rivian, Mr. Niraula worked as a Power Conversion Controls Engineer at Canoo Technologies Inc. for around three years, and as a Power Electronics Systems and Controls Engineer in Delphi Technologies and BorgWarner Inc. in Kokomo, Indiana for about three and a half years. Mr. Niraula’s expertise is in the design and development of power electronics converter, electric vehicle charging system design, power converter control algorithms development for electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. Mr. Niraula has also worked as a graduate research assistant in the Renewable Energy and Vehicular Technology (REVT) Laboratory at the University of Texas at Dallas under the supervision of Prof. Babak Fahimi and focused on the DFIG controls development for wind energy applications, and grid disaster mitigation strategies.
