Aisin Corporation
Subrata Saha (Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree (Electrical) from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, India, in 1991, and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Energy Systems Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India, in 1993 and 1998, respectively. He joined the Nagoya Institute of Technology for pursuing his postdoctoral research in the area of ac motor drives and power electronics. In 1999, he joined the Corporate R&D of Panasonic and worked in the area of position sensorless motor drives for air conditioner and refrigerator systems with the Device Engineering Development Center and Motor Technology Center. In 2003, he joined Aisin AW, presently Aisin Corporation, and was a System Design Engineer in the area of hybrid electric vehicles and full electric vehicles with Technology Center. He is currently a Chief Technologist in the EV Advanced Development Department-I of Aisin Corporation. He has registered more than 100 international patents, and his patented ideas were used in two new products at Panasonic and five new products at Aisin. He is also an Associate Editor for the Transportation Systems Committee of IEEE Industry Applications Society. He was the recipient of the first prize paper Award from the Transportation Systems Committee of IEEE ECCE2020. In 1997, he was the recipient of the Japanese Government Scholarship.
