Mark J. Scott earned his Ph.D. in Power Electronics from The Ohio State University in 2015. He is an associate professor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His work experience includes developing and installing industrial automation hardware and performing validation testing of power electronics. His research focuses on improving reliability and power density in power converters, including isolated DC/DC converters, single-phase, and three-phase inverters. He also studies conducted EMI and develops related diagnostic tools. Dr. Scott has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and holds a patent for a diagnostic tool for estimating the reliability of power electronics. He is an IEEE member and Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.
