Automotive Electrification at Analog Devices, Inc.
JD Morris holds B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earned in 2001. He began his career at Linear Technology where he successfully released over a dozen products. During the latter part of his design career, JD specialized in isolated no-opto flyback converters, contributing a wide range of new intellectual property and authoring several patents.
JD then shifted his focus to wide bandgap materials in multi-die monolithic power converters, recognizing an opportunity to expand into broader markets. His impactful work as both an individual contributor and a manager in design and applications paved the way for his transition into business development. Currently, JD serves as a Director of Marketing for the Sustainable Energy and Automotive Electrification group at Analog Devices, Inc.
While he remains deeply engaged in technical topics ranging from device fabrication to efficient high-power applications, JD now dedicates most of his time to understanding customer needs and supporting their adoption of and innovation with Analog Devices' technology. One of the highlights of his year is engaging in discussions and gaining insights from the many leading technologists and engineers at APEC.
