Hirofumi Hisamochi is a Senior Researcher at the Corporate Research and Development Division of IHI Corporation. He received his M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2016. His research focused on improving the power conversion efficiency of a 100-kW bidirectional isolated DC/DC converter. In 2016, he joined IHI Aerospace, where he was involved in the development of electric actuators and lithium-ion battery systems for a new rocket. Since 2020, he has been engaged in the development of inverters for aircraft electrification at IHI's Corporate Research and Development Division, focusing on high power density. Furthermore, in 2022, he began researching power module packaging technology, with a focus on improved thermal management and reduced parasitic inductance. His current research interests are in power electronics for aircraft and power module packaging.
