Soham Roy received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2018, and the M.S.E. degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. Following his master’s degree, he worked at TDK-Lambda Americas in Dallas for two years as a power-supply design/test engineer on low-form-factor, highly efficient dc-dc power modules up to 1.5 kW. Since January 2023, he has been working towards his Ph.D. degree under Dr. Alex Hanson in the Power Electronics and Magnetics Group (PEMG) at The University of Texas at Austin. His current research focuses on high-efficiency modular power electronic systems – including compact, solid-state nanosecond pulsed power generators using WBG devices, as well as data-center power supplies using differential power processing (DPP).
