Mr. Rui Wang (Member, IEEE) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Power Electronics Laboratory (PEL) of École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2017, followed by an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2020. He shortly worked in Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Dongguan, China, in 2023. Later, he earned a Ph.D. in Power Electronics from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2023. He was also a visiting Ph.D. student in KTH royal institute of technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2022. His research focuses on the applications of medium-voltage high-power devices, including IGBT, IGCT, SiC MOSFET, active gate drivers, series-connection technologies, and the design of medium-voltage high-power converters.
