Ricardo Borges is a senior director of applications engineering at Synopsys where he is part of a team developing simulation workflows and solutions for power electronics, image sensors, and RF devices. Prior to Synopsys he worked as a device engineer and microwave circuit designer at M/A-COM, as a SiC process engineer at Cree Research, and as director of GaN device engineering at Nitronex Corporation. In these roles he participated in the development, TCAD simulation and compact modeling of III-V MESFET/HEMT, SiGe HBT, SiC and GaN HFET technologies.
