This paper uses small-signal phasor modeling and the extra element theorem (EET) to analyze the impact of the resonance between the grid inductance and dc-link capacitance on a grid-tied ac-dc converter with an Unfolder and three-port dual-active series resonant converter. The impact is shown to negatively affect the converter plant transfer functions. A damping method to mitigate the effects is detailed, and the damping filter is validated with simulation and hardware results.
