Ben Dannan

Signal Edge Solutions

Benjamin Dannan is the Founder and Chief Technologist at Signal Edge Solutions, specializing in signal and power integrity (SI/PI) design for high-performance ASICs, chiplets, and FPGAs. A Keysight ADS Certified Expert, he possesses deep proficiency in high-speed simulation, 3D EM solutions, and various test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, etc.).

A senior IEEE member, Benjamin's background encompasses diverse engineering and military experience. He has designed and launched numerous products, including ASICs, radars, autonomous robots, PTZ cameras, and ground combat vehicles. His expertise spans signal and power integrity, high-speed circuits, multi-layered PCB design, and EMC product development for global launches. He is also highly proficient in Chip-Package-PCB-VRM PDN principles.

Benjamin models large SoC designs, MCMs, and chiplets operating at multi-GHz frequencies. He has extensive experience leading products through global EMC/EMI compliance testing (CE, FCC, IEC, CISPR) and resolving non-compliance issues.

A certified cybersecurity professional, Benjamin holds a BSEE from Purdue University, an MEng in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, and graduated from USAF Undergraduate Combat Systems Officer training. A trained Electronic Warfare Officer with 47 combat missions on the EC-130J, he also served as a USAF Cyber Operations Officer. He was awarded the DesignCon 2025 Engineer of the Year, has co-authored multiple publications, and is a two-time DesignCon Best Paper award recipient.
